The meaning

What Qadr means in Islam

Scholars describe four levels to it: Allah's knowledge of everything, its writing in the Preserved Tablet, His will, and His creating it. The Qur'an says He created every thing in due measure (Qur'an 54:49), and the word itself carries measure rather than blind fate. Belief in qadr is the sixth article of faith in the hadith of Jibril. It does not remove your choice and it is not a reason to stop trying, which is why the Prophet peace be upon him answered a question about it by telling the man to act.
