The meaning

What Sidrat al-Muntaha means in Islam

The Qur'an says he saw him at a second descent, by the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary, near which is the Garden of Refuge (Qur'an 53:13-15). Scholars describe it as the boundary past which the knowledge of creation does not go, so it marks a limit rather than a location. It appears in the accounts of the Night Journey, at the stage where the five daily prayers were given.
