The meaning

What Sahifat al-Madinah means in Islam

It made the Muhajirun and Ansar and the Jewish tribes of the city into a single political community for defence, fixed responsibility for blood money clan by clan, and stated that the Jews had their religion and the Muslims theirs. Disputes were to be referred to the Prophet. Its text is preserved in the sirah literature rather than in the hadith collections, and historians treat it as among the earliest documents of the Muslim community.
