The meaning
What Sahifah means in Islam
The Qur'an says every person's record is fastened to them and will be brought out as a book found spread open, with the words: read your record, today you are sufficient as a reckoner against yourself (Qur'an 17:13-14). Elsewhere the wrongdoers say of it: what kind of book is this, it leaves out nothing small or large (Qur'an 18:49). Receiving it in the right hand is the sign of success.
