The meaning

What Rahmah means in Islam

The Qur'an says His mercy encompasses all things (Qur'an 7:156), and that the Prophet peace be upon him was sent as a mercy to the worlds (Qur'an 21:107). He said the merciful are shown mercy by the Most Merciful, and told his companions to be merciful to those on earth so that the One in the heaven would be merciful to them, in a report collected by Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi. Rahmah in a person is not softness of opinion. It is the reflex to relieve someone when you could have walked past.
