The meaning
What Mu'jizah means in Islam
The word means that which renders others powerless. The staff of Musa, the healing given to Isa, and the splitting of the moon are examples, and the standing miracle of Muhammad peace be upon him is the Qur'an itself. A mu'jizah is public, tied to a claim of prophethood, and impossible to imitate, and that is what separates it from a karamah.
