The meaning

What Tabi'un means in Islam

They are the ones who received Islam warm from the hands that had held it, and they built the first schools of law and Qur'an teaching. Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, al-Hasan al-Basri, Ibn Sirin and Urwah ibn az-Zubayr belong here, and the Prophet named Uways al-Qarani the best of them without ever meeting him. The Prophet said the best of people are his generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.
