The meaning

What Muzdalifah means in Islam

The Qur'an calls it al-Mash'ar al-Haram, the Sacred Monument. Pilgrims arrive after sunset, pray Maghrib and Isha together, sleep on the ground under the sky, and gather pebbles for the stoning. The weak, the elderly and those accompanying them may move on to Mina in the later part of the night, a concession the Prophet gave to his own family.
