The meaning
What Wuquf means in Islam
The Prophet said the hajj is Arafah. A pilgrim who reaches any part of the plain within its window has performed it, whether standing, sitting or asleep, and one who misses it has missed the hajj that year. The majority date the window from midday until dawn of the next day; Hanbalis start it at dawn on the ninth. The day is spent in supplication rather than in any set ritual.
