The meaning
What Kursi means in Islam
The Qur'an says His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not tire Him (Qur'an 2:255). Ibn Abbas is reported to have explained it as the place of the two feet, while others read it as His knowledge or His dominion. A narration compares the seven heavens beside the Kursi to a ring thrown into open desert, and the Kursi beside the Throne in the same way.
