The meaning

What Abu Hurayrah means in Islam

The nickname means father of the kitten, from a cat he carried as a boy. He accepted Islam around the year of Khaybar, joined the poor Companions living on the mosque bench, and stayed close to the Prophet while others worked or traded. He said openly that the Muhajirun were busy in the markets and the Ansar with their land, and he was not. He also asked the Prophet to pray that he would not forget, and reported that he never forgot anything afterwards.
