The meaning
What Nasihah means in Islam
The Prophet peace be upon him said the religion is nasihah, and when asked to whom, said to Allah, to His Book, to His Messenger, to the leaders of the Muslims and to their common people, in Muslim. The word is wider than correction; it means genuine goodwill in what you say and in what you hold back. Classical scholars insisted that advice delivered in public is closer to shaming than to advising.
