The meaning

What Mu'awwidhatayn means in Islam

The Prophet peace be upon him said verses had been revealed the like of which had never been seen, and then recited these two, in Muslim. He blew into his hands with them and with al-Ikhlas before sleeping and wiped over his body, in Bukhari, and taught that reciting the three surahs morning and evening suffices a person against everything, in a report collected by Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi. They are the core of any ruqya, and a person says them over themselves without needing a specialist.
