The meaning
What Mahzurat al-Ihram means in Islam
The Qur'an forbids sexual relations, wrongdoing and arguing during hajj, and forbids hunting land game while in ihram. To these are added perfume, cutting hair or nails, and for men sewn clothing and covering the head; most schools add contracting a marriage, which Hanafis permit. Breaking one out of forgetfulness is not sinful, though the schools differ over whether compensation is still owed, and doing it deliberately usually carries a dam or a fidyah of fasting, feeding or a sacrifice.
