The meaning

What Khutbat al-Wada means in Islam

The reports of it are scattered across several narrations rather than one continuous text, and popular printed versions blend them. What is firmly established: he declared blood, property and honour sacred among Muslims as sacred as that day and that place; he cancelled the interest and blood feuds of jahiliyyah, beginning with his own family's claims; he charged the men to fear Allah regarding women; and he said he was leaving them what they would not go astray by holding to. He asked them three times whether he had delivered the message.
