What Hasan li-ghayrihi means in Islam

This only works when the weakness is mild, such as a narrator with a poor memory, and never when a narrator is accused of lying. Two or three light chains leaning on one another can hold a report up. Scholars differ over how much support is enough, which is why the same hadith is sometimes graded hasan by one and weak by another.
