The meaning
What Yaqin means in Islam
The Qur'an mentions degrees that scholars read as a ladder: the knowledge of certainty and the eye of certainty (Qur'an 102:5-7), and the truth of certainty (Qur'an 56:95). The difference is like being told about a fire, then seeing it, then feeling its heat. The Qur'an also says worship your Lord until certainty comes to you (Qur'an 15:99), which the commentators explain as death.
