The meaning

What Thiqah means in Islam

Uprightness without accuracy gives you a sincere man who misremembers. Accuracy without uprightness gives you a sharp man who lies. Only both together make a thiqah. Ranks below it include saduq, meaning truthful but slightly less precise, and layyin, meaning soft or weak.
