The meaning
What Hadith Qudsi means in Islam
The usual account is that the meaning is from Allah and the wording from the Prophet, while the Qur'an is both meaning and wording from Allah. A hadith qudsi is not recited in prayer and carries no claim of inimitability. It is also not automatically authentic; like any hadith it can be sahih, hasan or weak.
