تَيَمُّم

The meaning
What Tayammum means in Islam
You strike clean ground or dust with the palms and wipe the face and the hands. The Qur'an permits it for the traveller, the ill, and anyone who cannot find water. It stands in for both wudu and ghusl, and it ends the moment water becomes usable again. It is a real concession, not a lesser or shameful substitute.
