The meaning

What Najasah means in Islam

Urine, faeces, blood, pork and wine are the agreed cases. Water removes najasah once the colour, taste and smell are gone. The schools differ over particular cases, such as dogs, and over how small a trace is overlooked. Najasah is about the substance; the state of a person needing wudu or ghusl is hadath, and the two are often confused.
