The meaning

What Masah al-Khuffayn means in Islam

The permission is very widely reported from the Prophet. It lasts one day and night for a resident and three days and nights for a traveller, counted from the first wipe after wudu was broken. It ends with ghusl or with taking the socks off. Whether ordinary cotton socks qualify or only thick leather ones is an old and continuing discussion among scholars.
