The meaning
What Manzil means in Islam
Companions are reported to have divided their reading this way, in portions of three, five, seven, nine, eleven and thirteen surahs, with the remainder of the mushaf as the seventh. It is an older habit than the thirty part division and is still followed by some. A separate booklet of protective verses is also called Manzil; it borrowed the name but is a different thing.
