What Rada'ah means in Islam

The Qur'an names milk mothers and milk sisters among those a man may not marry, and the Prophet said that nursing forbids what birth forbids. The schools differ over how much is enough: Shafi'is and Hanbalis require five separate feeds, while Hanafis and Malikis count any amount that reaches the stomach. All agree it must fall within the nursing years, which the majority place in the first two.
