The meaning
What Hawd means in Islam
The narrations about it are numerous and agreed upon: its water whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, its cups like the stars of the sky. The Prophet peace be upon him said he will be at it ahead of his community, and that some who belonged to him will be turned away for what they introduced after him. Al-Kawthar, the river given to him in Paradise (Qur'an 108:1), is described in the reports as feeding it.
