The meaning

What Hanbali means in Islam

Ahmad ibn Hanbal died in 241 AH and is remembered as much for his endurance under persecution as for his law. In worship the school stays close to the reports and is cautious about opinion. In transactions it is unusually permissive, holding that any contract is valid unless something forbids it. Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim wrote from within this school.
