The essay
To begin without precedent. The Qur'an uses this verb as a challenge: is there any of your partners who begins creation and then repeats it? The question is rhetorical because beginning is the hardest claim to fake. Everything humans make is a rearrangement of what was already here. He began it, and the word carries no prior model, no material, no template.

قُلۡ هَلۡ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥۚ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يَبۡدَؤُاْ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤۡفَكُونَ
Say: is there any of your partners who begins creation and then repeats it? Say: Allah begins creation and then repeats it. How then are you turned away?
