The One who counts all things

The essay
The root comes from counting with stones, one pebble per item, which is as concrete as counting gets. He has enumerated all things in number. Not estimated. The Qur'an applies this to what is inside a person's own record: they will say, what is this book that leaves out nothing small or great but has counted it? Nothing is too minor to have been recorded, in either direction.
In the Qur'an
لِّيَعۡلَمَ أَن قَدۡ أَبۡلَغُواْ رِسَٰلَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَأَحَاطَ بِمَا لَدَيۡهِمۡ وَأَحۡصَىٰ كُلَّ شَيۡءٍ عَدَدَۢا
That He may know they have delivered the messages of their Lord. He encompasses what is with them, and has counted all things in number.
