Faith and safety are the same word in Arabic
The root a m n gives iman, faith, and amn, safety. It gives amana, a trust placed in somebody's keeping, and amin, trustworthy, which was what the Makkans called the Prophet ﷺ before he had recited a single verse to them. It gives the word said at the end of al-Fatiha. A mu'min, a believer, is at root somebody who has been made safe and who makes others safe. The Qur'an sets the pair side by side in the short chapter about Quraysh, thanking God for feeding them against hunger and making them safe from fear. Belief and security are not two subjects in this language. They share a skeleton.
