نُورCodex of Light The Names

The Ninety-Nine Names · the 64th name

الْوَاجِد

Al-Wajid

The Finder, who lacks nothing

The essay

The Name is not in the Qur'an as a noun, and the closest thing the Book says instead is stated flatly: you are the ones in need of Allah, and Allah is the Free of need. Al-Wajid names that lack of lack. He finds whatever He wills whenever He wills, because nothing is absent from Him and nothing has to be procured. Every need you have ever felt is evidence of what He does not have.

In the Qur'an

وَٱللَّهُ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلۡفُقَرَآءُۚ

Allah is the Free of need, and you are the poor.

Qur'an 47:38

What it asks of you

Notice what you need in a day: food, sleep, reassurance, air. That inventory is the negative image of this Name.
