نُورCodex of Light The Names

The Ninety-Nine Names · the 49th name

الْبَاعِث

Al-Ba'ith

The Resurrector

The essay

The same verb sends a messenger and raises a body from a grave, and the Book uses them side by side deliberately. Resurrection in the Qur'an is not argued as magic; it is argued as a second instance of something already done once. The one who made you the first time is not stretched by the second. This is the Name behind the argument, and it is why the Qur'an keeps pointing at dead ground turning green after rain.

In the Qur'an

وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٞ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبۡعَثُ مَن فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ

And that the Hour is coming, no doubt of it, and that Allah will raise up those who are in the graves.

Qur'an 22:7

from the enumeration · the verse carries the meaning
