One sentence about memory is repeated four times over

Surah al-Qamar, the fifty fourth chapter, tells four stories of communities that rejected the messengers sent to them: the people of Nuh, of Hud, of Salih, and of Lut. After each one the same sentence lands. We have made the Qur'an easy to remember, so is there any who will take heed. Four times, unaltered, at verses 17, 22, 32 and 40. The refrain works structurally, closing each panel, and it makes a claim that can be tested. Children who speak no Arabic memorise the entire book, and the number of living people who have done so runs into the millions. Very few texts of that length are carried whole in ordinary memory.
