A man urinated in the mosque and was left alone
A bedouin walked into the mosque at Madinah and began to urinate in it. The companions shouted and moved to stop him. The Prophet ﷺ told them to leave the man alone and let him finish, then to pour a bucket of water over the spot. Afterwards he called him over and explained, without raising his voice, that mosques are not for this but for prayer and the remembrance of Allah. Two things were being weighed against each other: the floor, and the man. Interrupting him mid stream would have spread the mess and humiliated a stranger who did not know where he was standing. The floor was easy to fix. It was the correction that had to be done well.
