Ten years of service and not one rebuke

Anas ibn Malik was about ten when his mother brought him to the Prophet ﷺ to serve him, and he stayed for ten years. His summary: he never said uff to me, and never asked why I had done a thing or why I had not done it. Another report from him adds that when he was sent on an errand and went off instead to play with boys in the street, the Prophet ﷺ came up behind him, took hold of the back of his neck, and asked with a smile whether he had gone where he was told. Anas lived into his nineties at Basra and is the source of well over a thousand reports about how the household actually ran.
