The scientific method has a father from Basra

Ibn al-Haytham's Book of Optics (c. 1021) proved vision happens when light enters the eye, built the first camera obscura experiments, and insisted every claim be tested by repeatable experiment, centuries before Europe's scientific revolution.

Hadr

Fast recitation that still keeps every rule intact, used mainly when revising memorisation.

Speed itself is allowed; dropping letters, cutting a madd short or blurring word endings is not. A hafiz revising several juz in a day will usually recite in hadr. If the words begin running into each other, the answer is to slow down rather than push on.
