Everything else in this Codex is written in the voice of the tradition, and carries the evidence for every line. This page is not that. These are the reflections of one contemporary Muslim who is building this library, thinking aloud about faith, doubt, work and the age we are living in. Read them as you would read a letter from someone walking the same road: worth hearing, and entirely capable of being wrong.

I am not a scholar. I hold no ijazah, no chain and no licence to rule on anything, and nothing written here is a fatwa, a ruling, or teaching. These are reflections that have been turning in my head for years with nowhere to go, and I have finally written them down for one reason: so that people who know more than I do can tell me where I am wrong.
If you are qualified, correct me plainly in the replies and bring the evidence. Where a correction lands I will change the entry itself rather than leave the objection buried underneath it. If you want to know what Islam actually teaches on a subject, do not read me: read the Codex, where every line carries its evidence, or ask a scholar you can see and question.
