First sounds · the surahs of the cradle
Real recitation, Mishary Alafasy, ayah by ayah, whole surahs from first word to last. Play them at waking, at feeding, at the drift into sleep. These four are short enough to become the furniture of a baby's world.
The recitation needs the internet. Ask a grown-up to read it with you.
A beloved tradition welcomes a newborn with the adhan whispered in the right ear; families have carried it for centuries. The sunnah of tahnik and du'a for the newborn is in Bukhari 5467.
First words · the golden eight
Tap a card together: it lights up and says the word aloud, and baby watches your mouth say it after. Repeat forever. These eight are the vocabulary of a Muslim home; children absorb them long before any lesson.

Montessori called this the absorbent mind: the child does not study the world, they become it. Here is what that means for a Muslim home, without pressure and without myths.
Everything is soundscape. A home where the Qur'an is recited calmly, where salam is exchanged and Bismillah is said, is already teaching. There is nothing to test. There is only atmosphere to keep beautiful.
First words arrive; order matters intensely, the same mat, the same corner, the same routine calms them. Point and name: qamar, najm, ma'. Let them watch wudu from your hip and slap the water once, it is theirs too.
Practical life begins: carrying their own little mat, pouring water at wudu with a tiny cup, putting a coin in the sadaqa jar every Friday. Movements first, meanings later; that is the fitrah's own order.
